Association to support and preserve the
history of the Bell 47, so it may
continue to fly. The
association will help coordinate actions
and interests among the thousands of Bell
47 flyers, owners, operators, and
enthusiasts nationally and worldwide;
promoting training, safety, and public
interest in the Bell 47. The
Association will also act as a lobby for Bell
47 needs and interests while
preserving its history, facilitating
communication, and camaraderie among Bell

In business since 1957,
National Helicopter Service is still
going strong. Their fleet of helicopters
are ready to provide a host of services.
National Helicopter supplied the
helicopters for the TV Whirlybirds,
KTLA's telecopter which was the first
helicopter to transmit television
signals, and has been involved with
numerous feature film, television, and
commercial projects.

Whirly-Girls was organized
in 1955 by Jean Ross Howard (WG #13),
with 12 other women helicopter pilots in
France, Germany and the United
States. Representing 41 countries,
Whirly-Girls is an official affiliate
member of the Helicopter Association
International.
Whirly-Girls membership is made up of
corporate pilots, commercial pilots,
flight instructors, flight school
managers, military pilots, mechanics,
heliport designers, flight surgeons, air
traffic controllers, attorneys,
paralegals, airport managers, business
owners, cattle ranchers, aeronautical
engineers, test pilots, administrative
assistants, owners, operators, aviation
pioneers and pathfinders that support
women in rotorcraft aviation by awarding
scholarships and by mentoring women
pilots. |
